Summary

Incubator Games is a group of not-so-old industry professionals from Toronto, Canada. We've worked as leads on relatively high-profile and award winning titles in the mobile and handheld fields, but the allure of starting our own company was just too big to resist.

We all have a passion for games, and our goal is to explore various genres and technologies. To fund original IP development, we also work on individual work-for-hire projects.

Bios

Radek Koncewicz

At the ripe old age of 4, Radek waited 45 minutes for a game to load off of a tape drive on his Atari 800XL. Following that momentous event, he knew he wanted to make videogames, and he proceeded to play a whole lot of them.

He also poured over any game magazines he could find, learned how to program, got involved in mod-making communities, and even did a bit of writing. While in school, Radek worked on a 3D car racing game that his alma mater used as a promotional tool at college fairs, and entered a mobile games competition that eventually led to a career in game development.

Radek is obsessive about analyzing games to see what makes them "tick," which he catalogues on his blog.

David Churchill

Having grown up playing PC and console games alike, Dave quickly developed a love for chip tune music. He learned how to track, became a prominent figure in the compo scene, ran #mod_shrine, and helped various other artists with their craft.

In his spare time, Dave created many small games, and eventually delved feet-first into software design. His passion for architecture led him to develop technologies and game engines for the PC, mobile devices, Nintendo DS, and, most recently, the iPhone.

Dave also owns an adorable cat who -- with time -- will most likely get featured in one of these photos.

Tristan Campbell

Tristan always had an affinity for videogames, and, wanting to make some himself, he enrolled in a computer science course at Ryerson University. While at Ryerson, he kicked math's ass for 4 years and learned computer engineering inside out. After graduating, he attended the University of Toronto where he earned a master's degree in human computer interaction.

Tristan's background in UI and optimization proved to be a great fit for game development, and his current area of interest is social networking titles.

Tristan's also worked as a consultant for the energy sector where he strove to prevent oil refineries from blowing up, and he likes to keep busy by pretending to be a rock star.
