We’re Hiring — Feeding Time

We are finishing up art tests with the most promising submissions, so the ad should now be considered closed.

Thank you very much to everyone who applied!

Feeding Time is an iOS puzzle game we’ve been prototyping for a few weeks now, and it’s getting close to being ready for production. Consequently, we’re looking for a freelance artist to give it a colourful and distinct coat of paint.

Here’s what’s required for the job:

  • Strong artistic foundation and ability to create a unique and eye-catching style for the entirety of the game (level assets, UI themes, etc.)
  • Technical proficiency in Photoshop/Illustrator and asset-production for various resolutions.
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines and responsiveness throughout the work process.
  • Availability for future additions to the project beyond the initial scope.
  • PayPal account for accepting online payment (in CAD currency).

Being familiar with videogame development and local to the Greater Toronto Area and is a plus, but not required.

If you’re interested, post a direct response below or e-mail us at work -at- incubatorgames -dot- com. Make sure to include a portfolio link and highlight your cute and original illustrations and production artwork.

Judging by past experience, we will not be able to respond to every entry, but we will definitely check out each submission and contact the most promising individuals with a demo of the game.

Thanks for your time, and we’ll be sure to update this post once the position has been filled.

I loved the artistic vision of the guys who made those games you posted on the craigslist link. I believe we share a similar aesthetic when it comes to games and apps. I have a background in traditional art, I got my BFA at OCADU in the drawing and painting department. I also have a digital background, I did a program at Humber College called Graphic Design for the Print and Web. I’m really excited to work on a project like this if given the opportunity. Although… I am on android… lol but I am planning to buy an ipad!

My portfolio is http://www.lucasespin.com

It’s split up between digital work, in the design section, and traditional work, in the illustration section.

Jason Margaca Says:

I just stumbled across an Ad that you guys needed music for your new game.. And this game looks GREAT! Video game music is a delicate process that is difficult, and since I’ve had this experience, I’d love to help you with this project. You guys look like a great indie company, and I’d love to be involved with you. I just finished the 60+ song soundtrack for Owlchemy Labs very ambitious game “Dyscourse” (Dyscourse.Com) and it was an amazing experience that I feel I did a great job capturing the mood of the game. I’ve also done multiple songs for promo videos and commercials. Along with that experience, here are my video game reels. I took existing games and scored my own original music to them to show my skill, diversity, and ability to capture any mood, setting, or action on screen.

Here is the link http://jmagasproductions.com/media/videogamecinematic-reel/

I love the look of this game, I love the whole steam punk vibe and would love to do this project. Hope to hear from you soon, and if not, good luck in your search!
